Conomo Point Association Lifeguard Job Description
The Conomo Point Association hires a couple of lifeguards every summer. Guards are expected to be responsible, respectful and to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone!
Details:
- This part time job involves working on the Conomo Point floats 3-4 days a week averaging around 20-25 hours per week
- Generally, shift hours are 10am-5pm during the week and 9am-5pm on the weekends with an hour break for lunch.
- Job runs from late June to early September
- Pay for the 2024 summer season is $20 per hour
Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have a up-to-date American Red Cross or YMCA lifeguard certificate as well as a current Adult & Child CPR certificate (usually part of lifeguard training.)
- Be able to work 20-25 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Keep a close eye on all swimmers on and off the dock.
- Enforce safety rules such as “no fishing” and “no running” on the dock.
- Periodically walk the floats to check up on swimmers and look out for potential hazards.
- Assist boaters at the piers if no swimmers are in the water.
- Be courteous & friendly to all ages!
